Sasan Faiz named Partner and Chief Investment Officer for Partnervest Financial Group and its affiliated companies. He has been with Partnervest since 2002 as Director of Investment Management Services.


Mr. Faiz has 15 years of extensive experience in designing and managing investment portfolios. He currently manages Partnervest's STAR™ Asset Management Program; an asset allocation program utilizing Modern Portfolio Theory and Efficient Frontiers. He has also developed fundamental and technical trading strategies, utilizing a quantitative approach to identify asset classes, market sectors and securities that exhibit directional or trending behavior.


Prior to joining Partnervest, he was the Portfolio Manager for a high technology hedge fund based in Santa Barbara, California. Mr. Faiz was also the General Partner for Doji Capital Partners LP, a limited partnership formed for the purpose of investing in the small to medium capitalization technology issues.


From May 1989 to July 1997, he was with the Middle Markets Group at Merrill Lynch in Los Angeles where he managed investment portfolios for high net worth clients and Financial Institutions. Mr. Faiz graduated from the University of Michigan in 1983 with a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering.
