Louis A. Gardner: CLU

Louis Gardner, CLU is widely known in the Independent Financial Planning world through his many years of working with major insurers in a management and product-shaping capacity. Beginning in 1987, Louis helped Pacific Life develop and distribute the first Variable Universal Life product accessible to the Broker/Dealer Community. His roles as National Sales Manager for Nationwide, and Vice President of Brokerage for New York Life have given Louis product and case design expertise to assist planners in complex advanced design and implementation. Louis has been published in industry publications, been a key note speaker at various industry meetings and served on the LIMRA Ditribution Committee. Louis most recently teamed with Juanita Brown also with Partnervest with the objective of providing Partnervest Financial Group associates with advanced life insurance and annuity services for their clients.

Juanita Brown: CLU, ChFC

Juanita Brown has spent the last 25 years working with financial advisors, helping them find the right products to fulfill their clients' needs. As SVP Marketing, Insurance Services at Associated Securities Corp., Juanita had a unique opportunity to cross-market between insurance, investment and advisory products, and developed a visual plan overlay (patent pending) to assist both the client and the planner in seeing the relationship of the various parts of the plan. Partnervest became her home in 2008. With her partner, Louis Gardner, Advanced Market planning strategies and tools will be made available to Partnervest reps. Juanita also served three terms as an executive on the Board of Directors of NAVA, and holds the CLU and ChFC designations.

Paul Kaplan
Paul D Kaplan, CLU, began his insurance career on April 1, 1964 while a senior at UCLA. Prior to joining American Capital Security Corp in 1975, Paul started in the field as an Agent. Recognizing the importance of life insurance brokerage early on, he moved to a Home Office environment in the Life Insurance Brokerage Sales Department and subsequently spent two years as an Assistant Broker Manager with Transamerica Occidental Life.
After a short stint as a Sales Manager for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, he returned to his true passion as a Brokerage Manager at American Capital Security Corp. where he became a principal in 1984. American Capital Security Corp is a high-touch life insurance Brokerage General Agency which specializes in impaired risk underwriting, universal life, competitive term insurance and annuities.
Paul is a member of SubCenters and is one of the founding members of The Marketing Alliance, America’s foremost insurance brokerage network. Active in local community organizations, Paul is also a member of NAIFA, a life member of MDRT, and past president of Life Insurance Leaders Roundtable in Los Angeles.

Ted Bustamante is the founder of Bustamante Insurance Services, LLC, and began his career in the insurance industry as a sales representative in 1984. During his career, Ted has been a producer, a home office executive, and Chief Marketing Officer of a National Insurance Marketing Organization.
In addition, Ted helped build a very successful Insurance Marketing Organization from scratch and subsequently sold the company to another firm. Through it all, he has maintained his close affiliation with the selling community and felt the need to build a company whose main objective is to help make the agent successful, not the insurance company or the IMO. This desire to build an "agent's firm" led to the creation of Bustamante Insurance Services, LLC.
